 FuZZy Guitar by Ken Shalliker

This is an experimental guitar based on a Les Paul. I changed the wood to Spalted Maple on the top and back with a solid Teak centre. The neck angle was set further back to 12 degrees to give me open playing action. The most drastic change from normal is all the controls and electrics are wired 'back to front' as in a normal guitar plus I've added a double reverse capacitor though a micro switch and a Black Ice boost. This has given me a great effect - the harder I play the more 'distorted' the sound is but in the 'background' and when the neck pickup is on I get a reverb echo that distorts when it clips. I am still working on the guitar and have recently increased the string gauge up to tens which is giving me fabulous sustain.
