Nowhere Boy Receives Excellent Reviews

Based on the early life of John Lennon Nowhere Boy has received some very positive reviews. It
works because it doesn't appear to be one of those "before they were famous" films. It's more about a boy than a
Beatle. Director Sam Taylor-Wood has opted for a natural realism, free of arty flourishes, a style as sensible and
conservative as John's Aunt Mimi.

Fergy Note: I saw the movie recently and it was quite authentic. A sad movie,
perhaps not enough of the music, but nevertheless very well put together. Recommend it.
