Memories

This section is a work in progress, our aim is to record the memories of the people who witnessed the music scene in and around Liverpool (and the North West) in the 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. If you have a story to tell, please register and add your story to the site, we think these memories are important and should be set down and not forgotten. Our aim is to build a resource that will be available for generations to come.
50s & 60s Liverpool

In the 1960s Liverpool was the centre of the "Merseybeat" sound which became synonymous with The Beatles and fellow Liverpudlian rock bands. This section "Liverpool 50s & 60s" is about life in Liverpool around this time. As with the rest of the site, it's a work in progress and we invite readers to add interesting stories about the City which are relevant to the music that developed in this post war era.
