Liverpool Beat

In the 1960s Liverpool was the centre of the "Merseybeat" sound which became synonymous with The Beatles and fellow Liverpudlian rock bands. This section "Liverpool 50s & 60s" is about life in Liverpool around this time. As with the rest of the site, it's a work in progress and we invite readers to add interesting stories about the City which are relevant to the music that developed in this post war era.
