The Merseycats marathon was a great success with bands playing for the charity from 2 in the afternoon through until 10 at night, on what was the hottest day of the year. With temperatures inside the club reaching 40C most of the players, myself included, crawled off the stage after their set, with the exception of Lee Curtis (picture above with Mike McCartney)who told me he could have performed all day. Mike McCartney was there to promote the charity and recall some great stories of his time with the Scaffold. Congratulations go to all the Merseycats who made this day possible.
